Initially, Maria was trained as an Existential Psychotherapist and graduated from Sheffield University in 2007. However, as she began working with clients struggling with addiction, she integrated other modalities into her practice, such as CBT and EMDR (for which she sought specific additional training). Coming from a family of psychotherapists, she is a second-generation practitioner, immersed in a philosophical quest from a young age. Her parents are the authors of a new therapy approach called “Weltanschauung Therapie” – a blend of existentialism and psychoanalysis.

For the past decade, she has primarily worked with expats living abroad and individuals dealing with addiction. Additionally, she works with families and provides psycho-education training. Being multilingual and having lived in various countries across Europe and Asia, she is fluent in English, French, and Russian.

In her practice, she places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and utilizes effective assessment tools to understand clients’ personality traits. She is delighted to join the TALKTIME platform and contribute her knowledge to a global community of professionals. Her core values include honesty, integrity, and creativity.
